Infection control

Infection control is a cornerstone to superior care.

To ensure the highest form of protection for our patients and ourselves, we strictly maintain sterilization processes to eliminate cross-contamination using standards recommended by the American Dental Association (ADA), the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and the Center for Disease Control (CDC).

Sterisil water purification system

Using what is known as the Sterisil water purification system, which holds a five-star government rating, Santa Teresa Dental ensures that water used in all dental units during treatment meets the highest standard for safety and purity.

Air purification system

To ensure the cleanest air inside the office, our Medify MA-112 is a powerful 950 CADR H13 HEPA air purifier that covers up to 5,000 square feet every hour. It removes 99.97% of particles down to 0.1 microns. This air purifier runs 24 hours a day from Monday to Friday. Additionally, multiple medium-room and small-room portable air purifiers are being utilized throughout the office.

Fresh-Aire UV APCO Mags have been installed in our HVAC systems. They are zero ozone emission and patented ultraviolent germicidal irradiation (UVGI) devices. They sterilize biological contaminants in the air.

For optimal ventilation, all fans inside the office including the ones inside our Heating & Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems are left on throughout the day and 2 hours beyond the last patient. This process is automated by Google Nest Thermostats.
